GREENVILLE'S PENDLETON PLACE CHILDREN'S SHELTER TOPS SC "ANGEL" CHARITIES IN 2009
Labels: Addy Matney, Angels and Scrooges, charity, Dianne Derby, Jim Miles, Mark Hammond, Pendleton Place, WSPA
The list, started by former Secretary of State Jim Miles, spotlights charities the office identifies as the top 10 best and worst for funding spent on each charity's programs and goals instead of administration.
Greenville's Pendleton Place Children's Shelter was recognized this year as one of the state's “Angels” for applying 95% of every dollar it spends to the children it serves.
TMPR's own Addy Matney has been involved with Pendleton Place since 2002 and has spent the past 6 years as a member of its board.
TMPR would like to congratulate the staff, volunteers, and board of Pendleton Place for this honor and salute them for saving these children who might otherwise fall through the cracks.
