MEDIA ADVISORY: Upstate Fire District to Dedicate Two Stations

The Commissioners of the Wade Hampton Fire & Sewer District will dedicate and rename two of its stations on Sunday, April 19, 2009.

The first event will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Station 1 located at 2815 Wade Hampton Boulevard.

The second event will begin at 3:30 p.m. at Station 2 located at 1112 Pelham Road.

During the ceremonies, Wade Hampton officials will unveil each station’s new signage renaming the facilities, commissioners will place a plaque at each station, and Representative Dan Hamilton (District 20 - Greenville County) will present the district with resolutions passed by the South Carolina House of Representatives to commemorate the events and honorees.

District commissioners, department personnel, and attending elected officials will be available for comment following the presentations and announcements.
