TOP DEPARTMENT INCREASES PROTECTIVE CAPABILITY
BOILING SPRINGS FIRE DISTRICT PLACES NEW TRUCK IN SERVICE (August 1, 2005 / Built by American LaFrance, the Ladson, SC-based subsidiary of Freightliner, Boiling Springs Fire District’s new Eagle pumper truck is capable of disbursing 1500 gallons of water per minute while carrying 1000 gallons of water and 30 gallons of polypropylene fire suppression foam in on-board storage tanks. With seating for five firefighters and an engineer, this first response 430 horsepower truck also carries a full battery of equipment including extrication apparatus, a 6000 watt generator, and a thermal imaging camera.
